Stepping Stones for Children
A social skills building group for Children ages 6 to 8; and 9 to 12. There are many theories out there with beliefs on the most effective way to teach children social skills. Some believe teaching a child in a classroom style setting is most effective, while others believe it is more effective to follow the lead of the child waiting for natural moments to occur where they are able to utilize social skills. In Stepping Stones group curriculum for children and adolescents with Asperger’s Syndrome, written and developed by Molly Gratton, LCSW, RPT-S, a combination of both a behavioral approach and a developmental approach is utilized.
